Grow it.

It all begins with the soil. We collect soil samples in the fall and spring and aim to improve its health with the grazing of our cattle and additional nutrients applied as needed.

Our hay in Cimarron is mostly Timothy grass with a mix of smooth brome and clover.

harvest it.

With being grown at an altitude of 7500 feet with only a 90 day frost free growing season we only harvest once a year at the end of August. We only put up dry hay with no rain to ensure no mold.

store it.

Barn stored bales stay dry from the rain and snow. We guarantee the quality of our product and strive to make our customers want our product again and again.

We test our bales and provide results to be transparent in the quality. It is horse quality.

Uncompaghre Valley Hay

We are fortunate to grow hay in the Uncompaghre Valley on our farm in Olathe (yes, that Olathe where the famous corn is from). This area allows for 2-3 cuttings a year which increases our inventory for customers.

The 3x3x8 bales consist of a mix of Brome and orchard grasses, clover and alfalfa.

These fields are where we winter our cows, who naturally fertilize the fields for us.
